ROAD TOWN, British Virgin Islands – September 26 2022 – Bitfinex (https://www.bitfinex.com/), a state-of-the-art digital token trading platform, has been supporting Vasil, the hard fork of Cardano (ADA), a proof-of-stake blockchain, designed as a new update to scale and optimise the blockchain.
The Vasil hard fork, which has happened and will become available on 27/09/22, will expand the capabilities of the Cardano blockchain, including increasing decentralisation, enhancing the handling of on-chain scripts, reducing script execution costs, transaction size and improving throughput. Furthermore, Vasil also introduced enhancements to Plutus, enabling developers to create more powerful dApps.
“We are delighted to support the Cardano hard fork, Vasil,” said Paolo Ardoino, CTO at Bitfinex. “As an exchange we always seek to provide our growing customer base with an optimal choice of digital tokens to trade and a first class trading experience.”
Cardano (ADA) trading, deposits and withdrawals on Bitfinex will be unaffected when the new features become available.
Additional information about the Vasil hard fork can be found here.
