I've been researching online and the sub and it seems like there's only two "cold" hardware wallets that support Monero currently.

I obviously don't want to download some mainstream hot wallet from the app store and I'm not to certain of what direction to take.

What is the most secure way to store Monero? I read we can create our own and to download the software to an old laptop? Any method of creating a wallet and keeping it on an old offline smartphone? Are there other methods?
