Banks here in Belgium are saying they can't increase interest on savings accounts.

Because they had negative interest rate and still gave 0.11% on a savings account.

So they were paid for their debt with negative interest rates!

No wonder politicians move in but I wish interest rates didn't have to exist like the model adopted by the bitcoin protocol.
